History Repeats

One of the basic concepts used in technical trading is that history repeats itself, both in terms of price ranges and time spans. The repetitions may not be exact and they may not happen all the time – if they did there would be no markets. However by looking at markets’ history it is amazing how often certain patterns repeat themselves. Most traders will have favourite markets that they get familiar with, looking for time spans and price ranges that keep popping up.
